Teri Abler BA Music, BS Psychology, MM Music Performance
MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling
For the past 20 years Teri has worked as a freelance violinist and private music instructor, so
listening and forming a helping alliance with others is in her nature. She holds a B.A. in music and a B.S. in psychology from Lawrence University and a M.M. in music performance from the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Currently, Teri is pursuing a M.S. in clinical mental
health counseling at Liberty University. In the counseling environment, Teri strives to help clients with self-empowerment, self-actualization, and a happier fulfilling life.
No matter what brings you to therapy, Teri is committed to help you reach
your goals. Teri uses person-centered approach to ensure all sessions are tailored to the needs of her clients. Anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and identity and mood disorders have been
specific realms of focus for Teri. Teri has particular interest in narrative therapy, and she promotes psychoeducation; for Teri, learning and understanding opens a world of possibilities. Also, Teri uses art therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Jillian Eash
MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Jillian is a second-year student at Mercer University, where she is pursuing an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of West Georgia. Jillian works with clients of all genders and ages, supporting a wide range of presenting concerns. In her counseling work, she utilizes a person-centered and constructivist counseling approach, grounded in the belief that individuals possess an innate capacity for change and self-actualization. She strives to foster authenticity and trust within the counseling relationship and to create a collaborative, safe therapeutic environment where clients feel open, supported, and empowered to share their experiences. Jillian also incorporates a strengths-based perspective, honoring the existing abilities and resources her clients already hold and supporting them in using these strengths to navigate challenges and work toward their goals.


Kristin Wallace
MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Kristin Wallace is a counseling intern at The Counseling Group who believes meaningful
change begins within a genuine therapeutic relationship. She strives to create a warm
and supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, gain deeper
self-understanding, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia
and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She brings over a decade of experience in the mental health field, including community
mental health work with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, residential
treatment with adolescents in eating disorder recovery, and collaborative crisis-
response work alongside first responders to help connect individuals with needed
mental health resources.
Kristin views counseling as a collaborative and empowering process where clients are
supported in exploring their experiences and evolving into the most authentic and
resilient version of themselves. She approaches therapy from a holistic and person-
centered perspective and takes an integrative, individualized approach tailored to each
client’s needs and goals. She is particularly drawn to expressive arts approaches,
nature-based therapy, and other integrative practices that encourage creativity,
connection, and healing while promoting overall wellness.
Jesse Langner
BS Kinesiology & Psychology
MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Specialization in Trauma and Crisis
Jesse has a BS in Kinesiology and Psychology and is in her final year of Walden University’s MS
in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, specializing in Trauma and Crisis. She is
passionate about supporting adolescent girls and adult women who are healing from domestic
violence, sexual trauma, and childhood abuse. Jesse’s goal is to provide a safe, compassionate,
nonjudgmental, and empowering space where clients feel heard, seen, supported, and understood
throughout their healing journey.
Jesse’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in authenticity and
honesty. She primarily utilizes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and
mindfulness-based techniques to help clients process difficult experiences, build healthy coping
skills, and reconnect with their sense of self and strength. Jesse believes healing happens through
genuine human connection, trust, and a sense of emotional safety in the counseling relationship.
Jesse offers both in-person and virtual sessions to create flexibility and accessibility for clients
seeking support. Outside of counseling, Jesse is a devoted dog lover and shares her home with
her fiancée and their four dogs, who constantly remind her of the importance of comfort, loyalty,
and unconditional connection. She strives to bring those same qualities into the work she does
with her clients every day.
