Teri Abler BA Music, BS Psychology, MM Music Performance

MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling

​

​For the past 20 years Teri has worked as a freelance violinist and private music instructor, so
listening and forming a helping alliance with others is in her nature.  She holds a B.A. in music and a B.S. in psychology from Lawrence University and a M.M. in music performance from the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Currently, Teri is pursuing a M.S. in clinical mental
health counseling at Liberty University. In the counseling environment, Teri strives to help clients with self-empowerment, self-actualization, and a happier fulfilling life.

No matter what brings you to therapy, Teri is committed to help you reach
your goals. Teri uses person-centered approach to ensure all sessions are tailored to the needs of her clients. Anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and identity and mood disorders have been
specific realms of focus for Teri. Teri has particular interest in narrative therapy, and she promotes psychoeducation; for Teri, learning and understanding opens a world of possibilities. Also, Teri uses art therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Rian Barker

MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Rian is an intern currently pursuing her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University. Rian is dedicated to providing compassionate and client-centered care to individuals, couples, and families across all age groups. With a deep commitment to building authentic therapeutic relationships, Rian creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported as they navigate life's challenges. Understanding that the therapeutic relationship is foundational to healing and growth, Rian prioritizes trust, empathy, and collaboration in every session, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them on their journey toward greater well-being and resilience. Rian works with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, stressful life changes, and identity.

Jillian Eash

MS Student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling 

 

Jillian is a second-year student at Mercer University, where she is pursuing an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of West Georgia. Jillian works with clients of all genders and ages, supporting a wide range of presenting concerns. In her counseling work, she utilizes a person-centered and constructivist counseling approach, grounded in the belief that individuals possess an innate capacity for change and self-actualization. She strives to foster authenticity and trust within the counseling relationship and to create a collaborative, safe therapeutic environment where clients feel open, supported, and empowered to share their experiences. Jillian also incorporates a strengths-based perspective, honoring the existing abilities and resources her clients already hold and supporting them in using these strengths to navigate challenges and work toward their goals.
